Travelling to Mainland Spain

There is currently no requirement to self-quarantine on arrival in Spain from the UK, however from 23rd November 2020, passengers are required to be in possession of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within no more than 72 hours prior to arrival, when travelling from an “at risk” country, which includes the UK.

This requirement applies to all passengers arriving in Spain by air or sea, regardless of your residency status in Spain and the length of time you intend on staying. Property owners in Spain are subject to this requirement.

On arrival you must declare on the mandatory ‘Health Control Form’, that you have undertaken a PCR test within 72 hours of arrival in Spain, have tested negative for COVID-19, and that you can show on request evidence certifying your negative results. This form must be completed 48 hours before arrival in Spain and is mandatory for all passengers. On completion you will be presented with a QR code as proof. You may be asked to take a PCR test at any point up to 48 hours after your arrival in the country.

Mandatory visual health checks and temperature checks are in place at all Spanish airports.

If visitors test positive or develop symptoms during their stay in Spain, they may be moved to specific designated accommodation to prevent further spread.
